My inspirations from flipping through recipes and tinkering with the ingredients in my pantry

Of Cakes, Breads and many many more

Other than driven by the need to cook most of my meals at home, I find myself wanting to to try out the interesting recipes I come across while staying overseas, most of which I would not have experimented at all back home. It’s just more convenient and economical to buy them over here. (Though I do have 2nd thoughts now, as it seems that the prices of commodities has increased. Or is it just me?)

As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. I won’t say that my end-products are perfect, but I did pick up quite a lot of skills since I spend so much time playing around in the kitchen. The best thing is, I enjoy it (the process), and I hope that others do too (the food).

BeFunky_null_1.jpgSome notable food I have attempted in the past 1 year but did not take any nice pictures: Kuih Seri Muka, Kueh Lapis, Orh Ni (Yam paste), Mango Sago (杨枝甘露), Glutinous Rice Cake (年糕), Tiramisu, Cheesecake, Radish Cake (萝卜糕), various cakes and breads. There are many many others which I simply could not remember on hand.

I should learn how to take better pictures.
